After serving lunch in Frank Wright Plaza, Sister Edith, Brother Daniel and I all met for prayer and then went to the city council meeting to discuss with the council the need to obey the laws established for the state of Nevada regarding good morals and decency. I told them during "citizen's participation" at the end of the meeting that Martin Luther King and many others fought to bring equality and morality into a wicked society, and that my desire was to see good morals and decency established in Las Vegas, a city that is damaging youth and many others on a daily basis. I told them people in power with friends in high places are not above the law, and sadly I was finding many in power, including police, don't even know the law of the land they are governing. I then asked them if any of them knew what NRS 196, NRS 201.195 and NRS 201.265 stood for (NRS means Nevada Revised Statutes). Not one council member had a clue. I explained that NRS 196 defines Treason, NRS 201.265 discusses not pushing filthy publications to minors, and NRS 201.195 discusses "infamous crims against nature" including homosexuality. I told them that recently there was a government approved homosexual and sex offender parade in las vegas, and that Mayor Oscar Goodman was part of it. Many children were around during the parade and it was surely before any curfew. I told them that after speaking with some Christian friends of mine I chose to protest this parade of evil with thier full support. I let them know I was battered and jailed, but after praying was released. I told them my court date regarding this protest which is Aug. 27th at 10am, and told them I am hoping to bring an end to the homosexual/sex-offender movement, and asked for the police and city councils full support and help under penalty of Treason. I explained that Treason was a category B felony punishable by not let than 2 years in the state prison. (Sister Edith said after I said the word Treason many left the room, and others became quite unsettled). I told them to raise thier hands in a show of surrender if they were willing to support the establishing and enforcing of the state law. I told them that LORD willing many others as well as myself would be contacting the governor and others above this council in hopes that this insurrection will end soon. One of the council members said they could take no action that day so none of the council members raised thier hand in support. I let them know I was hoping to see the gay rodeo stopped also (it's coming to Las Vegas soon) so please pray the council,police and Mayor (who left before we could speak to him) will oppose the gay movement and rodeo, and stand for righteousness as they should. (Thanks so much!) Beloved Brother Daniel spoke after me and did an excellent job, letting the city council know he supported me in my actions of protesting the gay parade, and that I actually had the right to make a citizens arrest in that situation. He let them know GOD had no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from evil and live. He also reemphasized NRS 201.195 and the need to stop the promotion of homosexuality.
